BakoBox was created by Kami Paulsen. A Bakersfield native, Kami lived in various beach towns along the West Coast for many years. She always sought out local Farmer's Markets to find the local artisans. When she returned to Bakersfield in 2013, she was impressed with Bakersfield's local creative scene. She loves to search for these amazing entrepreneurs.
She and her husband, Greg Paulsen, brainstormed the idea after he received his monthly subscription box. "Wouldn't it be cool if there was a box with all the awesome local Bakersfield vendors we know?" And, the idea quickly came to fruition from there!
